Susannah
Chester-Davis is an experienced fitness instructor who has worked
as a rehabilitative trainer for number of years. Suzi's origins
are in professional dancing and she graduated as an associate dance
teacher in 1993.
After
a successful professional dancing career she concentrated her efforts
teaching ballet, modern, jazz and tap dancing to both children and
adults. This was superseded in 2000 when Suzi decided to diversify
in to the fitness industry.
Suzi
is qualified in diverse spectrum of fitness disciplines. She currently
teaches and presents at numerous local health clubs and leisure
centers. Suzi has now worked as our rehab supervisor since Jan 08.
Suzi
designs exercise programmes to help patients strengthen specific
muscle groups to overcome their pain and reduce the chances of recurrence.
Sessions are usually one-to-one to begin with and can lead to small
groups of no
more than three people in our private gym. The sessions make use
of mat based exercises or gym balls. There will be an emphasis on
good postural awareness and postural re-education, strengthening
core stability muscles and stretching with good techniques to increase
muscular flexibility and improve on joint mobility.
People
who suffer with bad backs, and feel they need to exercise and
are fearful of their pain in case they aggravate their symptoms
are most likely to benefit from Dee's sessions. It may be the
first step towards achieving a stronger, healthier you with
the confidence to continue and progress back to your own choice
of exercise or sport.
