Suzi
was born in Hammersmith, London and grew up in Guildford. She attended Guildford High School for Girls, winning t
h
e Harvard Cup for Biology. She went on to attend Somerville College,
Oxford University and obtained a degree in Physiological Sciences. During this time s
he spent 2 years researching into treatment of Parkinson’s Disease using stem cells. She was awarded a Nuffield Exhibition from Oxford Unive
rsity from 2000 to 2002 for her academic achievements.
Suzi graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth and received the top academic award for her year. During her time there she completed a dissertation researching the effects of the chiropractic adjustment on the autonomic nervous system. She presented this research at the Chiropractic, Osteopathy and Physiotherapy National Student Research Conference in 2005. She has also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Chiropractic.
Suzi learnt to horse-ride at a young age and has subsequently competed at National Riding Club level in eventing and showjumping. She owns a mare and foal which keeps her rather busy! Whilst at Oxford, Suzi also began rowing and has since competed at Women’s Henley Rowing Regatta and the British University Championships. She currently rows for Guildford Rowing Club. In her (very little) spare time, Suzi plays the saxophone for Bagshot Concert Band.
During her time at the AECC, Suzi has developed a keen interest in the chiropractic treatment of sports injuries, including the treatment of horse-riders. Suzi is also interested in chiropractic treatment throughout pregnancy and is enthusiastic about working with children and babies.
